Summary

  1. 1.Form (§ 2): Non-partisan and non-religious non-profit association.
  2. 2.Registered office (§ 3): Gothenburg, Sweden.
  3. 3.Purpose (§ 4): Democracy, human rights and the rule of law; integration and participation of Iranians in the diaspora; dialogue; education, culture, research and civic engagement.
  4. 4.Membership (§ 5): Ordinary, supporting or honorary. Voting rights require an ordinary member of legal age with a paid fee.
  5. 5.Fee (§ 6): Set by the AGM. Honorary and supporting members are exempt.
  6. 6.Resignation (§ 7): Written notice to the board.
  7. 7.Annual meeting (§ 10): No later than 30 November each year. Notice at least 2 weeks in advance.
  8. 8.Board (§ 13): Chair, vice-chair, treasurer, secretary, deputy, communications officer, 1–5 members. Terms 1–2 years.
  9. 9.Signatory authority (§ 14): Chair and treasurer jointly.
  10. 10.Financial year (§ 16): 1 January–31 December.
  11. 11.Amending statutes (§ 18): Two-thirds majority at the AGM.
  12. 12.Disputes (§ 21): Negotiation and mediation first. If needed: Gothenburg District Court.
